The radical gay activist movement not only seeks to destroy the public role of Christianity, they seek to destroy the Judeo-Christian understanding of sexuality. An “everything and anything goes” mentality is part and plan of the gay activist mind-set: if two men want to get married, let them do so, and if two another sex partner shows up, there’s nothing wrong with a threesome or even a mass orgy. If a man wants to have a sex change and become a woman and get married to a woman who has a sex change to become a man then that is great too. Procreation is not important anyway, and may even be a problem. What counts is the right of every individual to satisfy his sexual appetites - no matter how perverse and disgusting- and to do it right now. Any precept that teaches restraint must be destroyed, and doubly so when the teachings are religiously grounded.
Homosexuals argue that they did not make a conscious decision to be that way, so it must be natural. They are born that way—just as all of us are born with a sin nature and sinful desires (Ephesians 2:1–3). It is only comes natural for them, and for all of us, to be tempted to do things that God say are wrong. In the same way, pedophiles, adulterers, alcoholics, rapist, murderers, drug addicts, whoremongers etc., don’t make a conscious decision to “choose” that self-destructive lifestyle; they simply give in to their sinful desires of the flesh. Even though sin is natural for unbelievers, that doesn’t mean God wants them to remain that way. God can set them free from their sinful nature (Romans 7:23–8:2), give them new desires (Ephesians 4:22–24), and help them withstand temptations (1 Corinthians 10:13).
Idolatry is perhaps the greatest of all sins because it opens the door to unrestrained evil. It gives sinners license not only to live in sin, but to sanction it, which comes from Satan. If you make a god in your image, one you feel comfortable with in your mind, you can then create your own moral standards to go along with him...or her.
