From the 55 delegates to the Constitutional Convention in 1787, a full 93% of its members were members of Christian churches and a whopping 28 were Episcopalians. Since this time the Episcopal Church has gone down hill fast and furious thanks to Homosexuality in its ranks and preaching the modern gospel.

In 1952 Bishop James Pike was appointed Dean of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, New York, where his liberal nihilistic minded sermons and television forum attracted much attention. Bishop Pike actually bragged that the “Church’s classical way of stating what is represented by the doctrine of the Trinity is not essential to the Christian faith”. It seemed that that the celebrity status given to him by New York’s secular elite is what was most important to him. Bishop Pike was the perfect priest, for those who believe in nothing love and worship: Bishop Pike rejected the Trinity and original sin, he mocked the Virgin Birth and he challenged the infallibility of scripture. He was an early proponent of ordination of women and the acceptance of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people within mainline churches. He had no respect for the word of God and the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Here is a man that was elected Bishop in the Episcopal Church who did not even believe in the Holy Bible. He was an alcoholic, adulterer, heretic, and liberal secularist who was married three times and had multiple affairs. He even dabbled in the demonic occult by using noted psychics and mediums, to reach and reconcile with his son who had committed suicide in 1966.

After Bishop Pike disappeared from the news, the Right Reverend John Shelby Spong, bishop of Newark, picked up where Pike left off. Nobody has a clue what Christian teaching, if any this heretic believes in, but at any rate we do know that the retired bishop contributed to the rapid decline of the Episcopal Church is famous. Bishop Spong wrote a book titled “Why Christianity Must Change or Die calling on Christians to reject Christianity in order to save it. Spong posted his litany of non-beliefs on the Internet, much to the delight of radical secularist’s friends.

He does not believe there is a Hell; he does not believe God is a supernatural being; he rejects Jesus as the earthly incarnation of God; he denies that Jesus performed miracles; he labels the Virgin Birth as pure mythology; he derides the Easter celebration of Jesus rising from the dead; he finds it implausible to believe that Jesus ascended into heaven; and, he thinks it is ludicrous that the Bible is the word of God. He also thought Paul of Tarsus was gay. Spong, who retired from professional ministry in 2000, was the first to ordain an openly gay priest, and he called for Christians worldwide to leave behind "Pre-modern religion in favor of liberal faith.”

As Spong was laying the foundation for the destruction of the Episcopal Church USA, Gene Robinson, a man who destroyed his marriage by dumping his wife and children to live with another man, became the first openly gay, non-celibate priest to be ordained a bishop. Many of recent problems in the Episcopal Church have come about largely because of him and his actions. It has cost orthodox laity, clergy and bishops millions of dollars in lost properties, with millions more in lost pensions, salaries, bad health, firings, split churches, agonizing soul-searching and tremendous pain. Robinson has not suffered, but caused all this, because he demands that his sodomite behavior be accepted by hundreds of thousands of Episcopalians and millions of Anglicans around the world. He has single-handedly done more damage to the Episcopal Church all in the name of his selfish, self-absorbed, perverted behavior.

Katharine Jefferts Schori is the Jezebel who heads the Episcopal Church, now headed straight to Hell. She has publicly said that Muslims do not need converting to Christ and that she would never tell them they do, or that Jews are saved under the first covenant. In her most recent statement, uttered publicly at General Convention in Anaheim, she stated that personal or individual conversion (to Christ) is a Western heresy and likened it to "work" rather than that of free grace. She clarified her views on salvation saying, "In some parts of Christianity we have turned salvation into a work, you have to say that I claim Jesus as my Lord and Savior in order to be saved and that turns it into a work and it denies the possibility of grace."

From the Associated Press – July 9, 2009 ANAHEIM, CA – Episcopal Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori says it’s “heresy” to believe that an individual can be saved through a sinner’s prayer of repentance. In her opening address to the church’s General Conference in California, Jefferts Schori called that “the great Western heresy: that we can be saved as individuals, that any of us alone can be in right relationship with God.” The presiding bishop said that view is “caricatured in some quarters by insisting that salvation depends on reciting a specific verbal formula about Jesus.” According to Schori, it is heresy to believe that an individual’s prayer can achieve a saving relationship with God. “That individualist focus is a form of idolatry, for it puts me and my words in the place that only God can occupy.”

In a recent video, Jefferts Schori openly and publicly denied that Jesus is the only way to salvation.

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America is now becoming the sodomite Lutheran Church in America. They are following the destructive path that has ruined the Episcopal Church by allowing sexually active gay clergy.

The two largest Lutheran church bodies in the United States are the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) with 4.8 million members and The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) with 2.4 million members. All bible believing Lutherans should become members of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS!)
Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod Condemns ELCA Heresy Allowing ‘Gay’ Pastors

The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (http://www.lcms.org) has repeatedly affirmed as its own position the historical understanding of the Christian church that the Bible condemns homosexual behavior as "intrinsically sinful.” It is therefore contrary to the will of the Creator and constitutes sin against the commandments of God (Lev. 18:22, 24, 20:13; 1 Cor. 6:9-20; 1 Tim 1:9-10; and Rom. 1:26, 27).

These denominations have strayed off the path and they are losing members at a torrid pace. To be honest, the mainline denominations have sold out: it is not the Christian faith that they seek to follow, but liberal secularism. As an example, around the same time the Episcopalians were being torn apart over the election of an openly homosexual (sodomite) bishop, Gene Robinson, the Presbyterians in 2003 had assembled in Birmingham, Alabama to decide what alternative nonsexist terms they could come up with to replace the Christian Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Ghost. “Mother, Child and Womb” was one suggestion, as was “Rock, Redeemer, and Friend.” Ten years earlier, the Presbyterian Church (USA) held a conference, cosponsored by the United Methodist Church, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, and other mainline churches, where they “re-imagined” God as “Our Maker Sophia” and substituted milk and honey for the traditional bread and wine Communion.
